Take Part in a Grief Group

Grief is a profound human experience. Although death and mourning are universal, each person experiences the death of a loved one in a personal and particular way. The Grief Group is a proven source of support and understanding for grieving individuals.

Those experiencing the loss of a loved one are invited to take part in the grief support group, designed to enable participants to help one another deal with grief.

The Grief Support Group is led by two experienced counselors—Maureen Garvey, L.C.P.C., and Mary Jo Hubick, L.C.P.C.—and offers support and education.

The Grief Support Group meets on Monday evenings for four to six consecutive weekly sessions and is offered—free of charge—approximately five times a year (based on interest, as a minimum of six people is needed to start a group).

The group meets on the third floor of the Fourth Presbyterian Church Parish House (126 E. Chestnut St.).

Preregistration is required. To register, or for more information about a future group, call 312.787.8425.
